The Shrike GT designed by my father Don Haskin in 1966. Forever searching for a surviving example. The Shrike was one of the good looking kit cars with the rear of a Ferrari 250 LM and the front looking like a modern day Porsche 911. The windshield was in fact from a 66' 911. Designed to fit on a Squareback/Fastback VW that came stock with the flat dual carb 1600. Copycats include North American Fiberglass' angular looking kitcar in the 70's and Dave Norton using the Shrike name for his tube frame 3-wheeler created in 1984. I'm asking all car people to keep an eye out for a surviving original 1966 Shrike GT - Thanks! Dave Haskin (Bushwhack Dave) |
