Body test fit top chassis while in primer... After pressure-washing body clean, used D/A sander with 60 grit to strip any exposed metal flake. Hand sanded to 120 grit, then sprayed 4 qts of Evercoat Slick Sand #709 gray polyester primer.
Allowed Slick Sand to dry 2 weeks, then wet sanded w 600. Wet sanding showed more small flaws so I fixed flaws & pin holes with USC Polyester finishing putty "Icing" #26006. Sprayed another Qt of Slick Sand, allowed to cure another 2 weeks then wet sanded to 600 a second time |
