Engine and air cleaner in our 1960 walk thru panel camper conversion. Posted: Mon Jan 28, 2019 8:22 pm     Views: 89      Rating: Not rated

1641cc single port engine with counter weighted crankshaft, type 4 oil cooler in dog house shroud, and 356 Porsche gen pulley. Plus H-30 PIC carb that has the manual choke cable linkage and big enough 30mm carb throat to work with the bigger engine, and full flow oil filter pump. Transaxle is 3.875 ring & pinion with stock .82 fourth and 1964-67 standard RGB, and slightly bigger than stock 195R15 rear tires, that gets us 60 MPH @ 3,000 RPM. This engine has now powered our 1960 walk thru panel camper conversion for over 150,000 miles since last rebuild.
