| Hate to bother you folks, but I don't know who else to ask. My Volkswagen mechanic friend ( and former boss) is gone. A friend and former customer of my former boss gave me this radio. I have a 1955 rag top and a 1961 Beetle hardtop that are still 6 volt. I assume this is a the 6 volt radio AM-FM, that was offered from 1963-1966. I want to test it. How do I determine if it is indeed 6 volt, and how do I determine which of the two wires is the hot, and which one is the ground. The last thing I want to do is fry what is likely a very rare VW radio. Thanks, Chuck |
