Here is one way to lighten the heavy side of pressure plates. Notice how I peened the tips so it will locate without wobbling in the flywheel. REgrind flywheels are notorious for oversize register for the pressure plate.
One way to keep the pressure plate centered for the balancing is to peen those pesky teeth.
