Lost rear wheel due to no cotter pin! Thought rust would hold nut on- wrong!
Was on Freeway and lost oil to motor from angle of car.
Replaced original carb with rebuilt, rebushed throttle shaft
And riveted throttle plate one by Keith.
Dizzy is original AirCooledNet SVDA with Pertronix I
Heater boxes hooked up- LOVE the heat!
Valve on vacuum line to air cleaner is to ‘control’ heat to carb-
One in air cleaner is stuck on ‘always hot’ preheat air to air cleaner
On cold days leave open- on hot days shut off for cool air.
Thermometer is for checking under hood temps and oil temp in dipstick hole occasionally- close to ‘waste air’ heat gauge on dash after 10-15 minutes or so.
