Tinplate Bandai Volksawagen Deluxe Samba bus.
I cannot find out anything about it but it seems unusual in having an electric motor, working headlights and steerable front wheels. A bulkhead behind the front bench seat and blue perspex in the side windows hide the box holding the batteries from view so appear original.
The big Book Blue page 36 shows a motorized truck with headlights but no bus in any Big Book matches this Bus
I would guess it was made in the 1960s. |
