I decided to get what I believe is the original muffler on my 1967 Beetle (1500cc engine) restored. The tips were rusted out, but had a VW stamp on them. The muffler had a large dent with a hole, and a lot of surface rust. I contacted 4 different companies around the country which looked like they might do it. Only Specialty Cars in Pennsylvania expressed interest (and they were enthusiastic) about it. They did a boor scope review, first, then cut it open.
