Since I had to destructively remove them from the trailing arms for replacement, I took some pictures of the inner construction for comparison to each other and to the current offerings.
2007-ish era Meyle ball joint, failed in around 9 years in the driver's upper position. There was almost 1/4" vertical play in this thing and some definite clunking going on. Not sure what the hole next to the joint is about, guessing it's from the removal technique that Trafton used in '07. Goes about 1/8" in. |
