I found the solution to my drive axle problem. Turns out that the axle from a T3 IRS arm fits the Porsche 944 arm perfectly!
Now I can use a beetle drive axle on both sides so I do not need to cut/weld an axle.
I made a jig using a T3 rear end so I can place the brackets at the correct beetle distance so it will fit the gearbox/arms perfectly.
