The toolbox is un restored, still wearing its original colors. The shops were painted white and green and then white/blue. The ORIGINAL color is a grey-blue color. I think it was green due to the dealership being an Amoco gas station. I think we all know why it was painted blue, too. I'm pretty sure the toolbox was made by MATRA, because most of the tools are MATRA and the drawer cut outs are painted red, like MATRA tool kits. There are 10 drawers in the box and they all have German writing on them, most say "VW-Spezialwerkuge" which is VW-Special Tool in English. Some of the drawers have the name of the contents on it, for example, "meßwerkzeuge" translates to "Measuring" and all the calipers are in that drawer. |
