After the crash, new safari mounting holes slightly off so some new holes were needed. Window was a little off with some daylight showing through when closed and latched. Since the daddybus was crunched in the front at Blackstar 2019, I decided to go the full monty and install a threaded plate. Anthony Jr helped out almost just like the first time safaris were installed. Screws on either end lock the plate in place and are covered by two layers of friction tape (holes marked in silver.) I used #6-32 stainless machine screws which allowed for plenty of side/side adjustment and can be enlarged/retapped to #8 or #10 if the threads get buggered out in the future. Now properly aligned and no more light showing through when closed. |
