The "Modern" Cross-Bar roof solution I have settled on for our 1967 Westfalia Posted: Thu Jul 02, 2020 5:01 pm     Views: 38      Rating: Not rated

I've got a thread going about "modern" solutions for roof racks and such.
I had a bad attempt with Thule (was just a little too low), and I didn't want to go to the next size up.

THIS is what I have purchased and will keep. Regretfully they are not cheap.

No 7 Leg 225mm (Pair) - by Front Runner SKU: LASS107
1345mm Slat (52.95276 inches) - by Front Runner SKU: RRSS1345

My goal was to find some load-bars with gutter-feet that would get as close to the roof as possible without actually touching the crown of the roof.

They have longer slat load-bars, and I believe they make taller Gutter legs too (shorter also; aren't bay-window roofs shorter?). It is difficult to find/order specific things on their website, but they ARE very helpful by e-mail and telephone.
