Comparison of steering wheel colors and horn bar styles. My Aug. 1963 Ghia Coupe (L 532 Polar Blue) had an L 395 ice blue steering wheel from a '63 per the semicircular horn ring. A PO had painted the entire steering wheel flat black, but I was able to polish off the black to reveal the original color.
The ivory steering wheel is the factory color L466 Silver Beige and is the original factory wheel on my Feb. 1964 Ghia Cabrio (L87 Pearl White). It has the correct 1964 (also 1965) style horn bar with the larger finger pad, and no semicircle bar. Leather steering wheel wrap vs perforated vinyl wrap on the '63 wheel. |
