There's more than one way to skin a cat, as they say. Same for getting your 9-pin relay to work right. Sometimes, the relay contacts for the 4-way flasher function crud up and stop working (like, how many times do you use the 4-way flasher function, anyhow?) The normal fix is to disassemble the relay and file/and things clean). But, I discovered, you can do it mechanically, by operating the relay twice a second, for about 1/2 an hour (that's 3600 operations). Good 'ol mechanical wear does the dirty work. Pics show the setup I used to do this.
