| Movie filmed in San Francisco, California. The car chase segment starts with John Patrick Mason (Sean Connery) driving off in a Hummer. Avoiding a construction zone on a street, he drives into the back of a psychedelically painted early '60's Beetle. IMCDb lists it as a '65. You can see that the driver's A-pillar has been cut so that the roof can fly off without resistance from the planned impact. Agents following in the black Ford Crown Victoria also bash into the Beetle on the driver's side. The final shot has a wide-eye Baja Beetle on the street, with the smashed Beetle in left background. |
