"Streets of San Francisco" popular TV show from 1972 thru 1977, shot on location in that city. SF police Detective Lieutenant Mike Stone and Inspector Steve Keller (Karl Malden, Michael Douglas) investigate crime in the city. Many street photos where there's almost always a VW in the background.
1. Red ~'70 Coupe parked. "Endgame" season 3 episode 17, 1975.
2. Blue ~ '68 Coupe behind Lt. Stone, dressed as a patrolman. Per #1.
3. White early '60's Coupe parked. "A trout in the milk" S1E13, 1973.
4, 5, 6. Blue ~'68 Coupe parked. Same car, different perspectives. "A room with a view" S1E18 1973.
7. "Charlie's Angels" TV show, filmed in Marina del Rey in the Los Angeles area. White ~ 69 Coupe, battered, with Angel Sabrina Duncan (Kate Jackson) on the bike and the antagonist on the ground behind the Ghia. "Little Angels of the Night" S2E21 1978.
8,9. "The Six Million Dollar Man" TV show. Col. Steve Austin (Lee Majors) acts as a Big Brother to a teenager and goes along to a local basketball game. An abandoned Ghia is in the alley. Appears to be late '64/'65 due to the left-hanging air cleaner and all-black front wheel. "Big Brother" S3E22 1976.
10. Turquoise metallic '60 thru '65 Ghia Cabrio, "Counting Cars" filmed in Las Vegas, Nevada. Parked next to a Bentley which show host Danny Koker was considering at an auction. "Little Red Corvette" S9E4. |
