Many VWs are seen in this famous movie. In addition to those already in my gallery, there are:
1. Red Kombi, far side of harbor in Marseille, France. Main character Alain Charnier (Fernando Rey) on left.
2, 3. Red Ghia Coupe in New York City, with headrests. One of the main characters Sal Boca (Tony Lo Bianco) walks past the front of it. In the street shot, there's a dark red Splittie way down the street.
4. Yellow Splittie parked on left in Brooklyn street.
5. Blue '70 Beetle sunroof, with red Splittie to the left; on Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge.
6. Popeye Doyle (Gene Hackman) in his blue Ford sedan drives past a white '67 Ghia Coupe in Brooklyn, parked at right. |
