In this humorous movie by French filmmaker Jacques Tati who also plays the policeman directing traffic, many vehicles are involved in small accidents which take place in the Netherlands. An ivory '68-ish 1200 Beetle avoids collisions and stops in the field, then the priest gets out and makes "holy gestures" behind it such as "offering up" an engine part. It has a strap-on sunroof wind deflector. The red '58/'59 sunroof Beetle (ice pick door handles) with semaphore-delete side lights gets hit by the truck, then hit once again in the rear so that it rolls away and loses its spare tire. Red 411 sedan drives past in the sunny city, and in background in the rainy city. |
