1. Early Bay window deluxe in the documentary "The Joy of ABBA", about the Sweden-based pop group. Narrator was mentioning the labor riots in Stockholm in 1970.
2, 3. YouTube video of late Oct. 2021 from "Vice Grip Garage" has host Derek Bieri going to a "private honey hole junkyard" in Utah. Numerous VWs seen, including a close-up of an extremely dirty '74 Beetle engine from the wind-blown dirt coming through the engine lid vents.
4, 5. TV movie "The Tribe" (aka "Tribes", 1970) starring Jan-Michael Vincent has a red '70 Beetle driving, and a red early Squareback parked. Since he was joining the Marine Corps at their training center, the shots are likely from nearby San Diego, California. |
