VWs in movies & "Woodstock" documentary Posted: Sun Aug 07, 2022 6:02 am     Views: 30      Rating: Not rated

This very week is the anniversary of the immense Woodstock music festival in 1969 which took place in the southern Catskill Mountains of New York. Public Broadcasting System's program "American Experience" made a documentary in 2019 "Woodstock: Three Days that defined a generation". As expected, many VWs are seen in the period film clips. None are posted in theSamba gallery yet.
1. Blue Karmann Ghia Cabrio. Rear shot of the same car from rcooled's gallery. "TZ" letters on the NY lic. plate indicates Rockland County based on the Tappan Zee. Is that a "Automatic StickShift" decklid emblem?
2. Red Fastback parked precariously on highway median.
3. Ivory Bay window bus parked.
4. Dark blue Beetle in foreground.

Movies:
5. Red Ghia at Las Vegas intersection: "The Night Stalker" 1972.
6-8. Kuebelwagen, "The execution of Private Slovik" 1974 starring Martin Sheen.
9. Beige Squareback, TV movie "Dead Men tell no Tales" 1971.
10, 11. Turquoise deluxe bus, per #9.
