This is an emergency roll-up plastic windscreen with steel reinforcement bars, intended primarily for those whose vehicles (including my British specification, 1973 VW "1600" Type 2 Westfalia Continental motor-caravan) are still equipped with a zone-toughened (i.e. tempered) "Zebra-Zone" front windscreen.
My father bought one (which I still have) as part of the overseas touring spares kit for our first European touring holiday, in the VW Type 2. |
