Prototype 911 dash for a 1302 PART 3 Posted: Thu Jul 06, 2006 1:56 am     Views: 668      Rating: Not rated

Well after taking molds of the 1303 dash. I ended up taking a mold of just a 1 foot long section. So as a result I had to combine 2 sections to make it. I've also taken a mold to the left of the column and that one will be in place probably by the end of the weekend. I also will have to cut a section at the very end (at the right) since I'll have to start a radius to make it look better (it snapped after I pulled it from the 1303's dash). But, I will be making a glove box using bits and pieces from a 1303's. And will probably end up making a custom box as to avoid cutting the metal up (it will have compartments like a 1303's does). Its....a little hard to imagine it done. But...I will be making the 1st one that comes out of the form with a Carbon fiber accent at the top, and at the gauge area. The second one I make will be completely made from CF.
