This fine-looking Ghia was fitted with 4 1/2" SprintStar wheels and 165 tires, as well as the "GTV" badge behind the front fender opening. Was also fitted with an Empi wood-rim steering wheel, 8-track in-dash tape player and a short Hurst shifter. Engine was a stock 1600. The color was the factory-offered orange; the dash paint was original.
Car was built after an article on the GTV Ghia in "Road Test" magazine from around 1971. The GTV equipment was a special "package" offered by EMPI/Economotors in Riverside, CA at the time. |
