Then it was on to Bakersfield! The car was running great and it was a real joy to take this old car out for
a road trip. I was carefully listening for stange noises or any indication of loss of power. The good news to
report is that the car ran flawlessly, started everytime, and made it on less than a tank of gas. Another
good thing that happened was the tires finally rounded out. After sitting for a long time they had gotten
some flat spots, but between airing them up all the way, and getting them good and hot, they smoothed out nicely. All in all a very good trip. |
