Just got it installed for the 1st time. I've got alot more rework to do to get the whole thing working correctly. But, the small list of mods include: Modified steering shaft (78 top, 74 bottom), modified shaft spacer, A2 adapter (basically a big spline outer, small spline inner that allows you to install a A2 steering wheel into an A1), Modified wiper stalk (cut down 1-1/4" and tweeked to clear the steering wheel. And of course an A2 steering wheel (unmodified).
Once I have this cleaned up and working right (the 78 wiper switch has an intermittent setting) I'll be installing another setup like this into my 72. |
