During my visit to the VW factory in Puebla, Mexico in October of 1994, I saw many unusual vehicles. I took this picture of a pair of Busses and another "special" Factory vehicle. I was told that this was built from the forward part of a Caribé (Rabbit) for some specific function at the factory and was not a regular production type. Time did not permit a closer inspection of the rest of the vehicle, but as you can see, it is very short. I believe that the green tractor may have been powered by an air-cooled Beetle engine.
