Clutch cable and strap removed and ran an imaginary wire to the ground - side of the points...to show that the green wire can not fry....
In this example the engine will not start.

Wire drawings with different ground (negative) (-) wiring problems as it relates to running and starting.

Presented to offer help in various posts for folks that are having issues with running and starting or just wanting to understand the wiring of those circuits.
