Bottom view.
Just showing the differences between the carb and FI (fuel injected) case breathers used on the Type IV Bus engine...since 99% of the Bus population doesn't seem to know what the difference is. The breather with the hose on it is from a FI engine, the other one with just the nipple is from a carb'd engine. There is also one other version of the carb'd breather and it has an inverted cone on it with a threaded cap, used to pour oil into the case, but it will still have the smaller breather nipple on it. All versions of these breathers use the same bail and gasket; only the body is different. |
