The assembly line at the VW Factory. They built custom ACVWs. This place went out of business but I got my bus before they went down the tubes.
They had lists of colors and options for Ghias, bugs and buses, and would build you whatever you wanted. They gathered cars from desert areas which were delivered by car carriers on their return trips to the coast for cheap. The lot ouside was full of freshly built cars. Quite a sight. |
