1969 Type 3 BA4 Heater
andre3
Offerred for part of 1969 only, the BA4 'above tranny' gas heater was the best gas heater offerred for type 3s. It actually installed inline with the regular heaing sstem, allowing exctra heat at your feet and the windshield. Most gas heaters just blow on your leg! The BA4 system was very complicated, requiring a chasssis with a sperate cable tube and a body with special mounts and an extra hole in the rear airbox. The 'S723' marking on my belt shroud is what I believe to be the special model designation for these cars.

Here's gas flap sticker. This one's from a buddy's car since mine is in a box somewhere.
