Found this '63 on Craigslist in Columbus, Ohio. I love it. It was originally purchased at R.B. Kuhn Motors, Inc. in Springfield, Ohio by Mrs. Cleo Mosley. It was sold to it's second owner in 1981 with 9948 miles on the odometer. It was purchased by its third owner in November 2012 with 19049 on it. It currently has 19079 miles on the odometer.

orig. sea blau '66 ghia

the ghia's first trip to the pacific ocean. 48 years ago she started life in st. louis, then to kentucky, then indiana and then after many years of faithful service, she followered her owner into retirement in albuquerque. now brought out of retirement, sea blue visits the sea for the first time...with a very young 53,000 miles on her clock.

'66 sea blue survivor

after color sanding and buffing and glazing each panel, i have revealed the beautiful glow of sea blau. the hood and decklid were 'egged' a few decades ago, which has left a nice splooge eaten into the paint. how is that for some high-voltage patina!

1966 Sea Blue Survivor

lived its life in Kentucky, Indiana, Albuquerque, and finally in California. all original interior & exterior. the car suffered from an egg attack and many years of paint neglect, but the bumps and bruises are minor as it was always put away inside of a garage. the seams that have come undone will go back together nicely. there is a dash plaque from 1966 for the VW Jamboree in St. Louis, MO. on the glove box. never a radio or antenna installed.
