Porsche 916
Randall
This 1972 Porsche 916 was built for the sister of Porsche executive Ferdinand Piëch. It was fitted with a 2.7-litre engine, producing 210 bhp. This car underwent a two year restoration ending in 2011.
The entire 916 project was cancelled due to its escalating cost. Ten more pre-production examples had either been finished or were nearing completion. Five of those ten were sold to management and friends of the company. The others were later sold privately.

brake pedal stop plate repair
Randall
Shows bottom of floor pan. Repair fixes the problem of a cracked floor pan surrounding the bolt holding down the brake pedal stop plate. The crack develops from repeated pounding by the spring-loaded brake pedal when it comes to rest against the stop plate. No repair is made from the top side of the floor pan. The floor pan is only 1.11 mm (0.0437 inch) thick.

Randall
Both pics show the original EMPI anti-sway bar for Type 3 only, manufactured in the early 1970's. The bar is 5/8" diameter and attaches to each lower torsion arm. Later style bars, by EMPI and others, having endlinks with urethane bushings, attach to the bottom shock bolt and also to the frame arms that connect the axle to the floor pan.
