Thing drums.
Towel Rail
I decided to paint my drums before installing them. Maybe the black paint won't really help with cooling, but they'll look nice longer, as opposed to just rusting.

Steering box wrench.
Towel Rail
Yeah, it would be cool to have a real VW 277, but what can you do...
BTW, does anyone know what size allen wrench to use instead of VW 278a (the worm spindle adjusting wrench)?
Thanks!
(BTW, the wrench shown is a 1 5/8".)

Bolt in valve.
Towel Rail
This happened to my brother's bug. All of a sudden, it lost power. Who knows how long the bolt had been bouncing around in there before it squeezed through.

Drivin' off into the sunset.
Towel Rail
Even though this book isn't as "complete" as later editions, it's new enough to pertain to all of the cars we own, and there's something mystical about reading a copy published during John Muir's lifetime.
