Sort of out of focus, apologies. The sensor itself (a thermistor button) is the little thing next to the nut on the right side of the image.

412 Rear Shock and KYB KG5406 - Bottom Bushing
anglodeutsch4
I ground the bottom of the OE shock to get the steel bushing out of it, ignore that, and assume there's a steel bushing in the middle of the rubber one. Note the difference in width of the bottom bushing. It takes a 1/2" SAE bolt vice the 12mm diameter bolt used by the OE shock.

This is the end that bolts to the steering knuckle. To modify the balljoint to allow greasing, drill a small hole in the middle of the dome seen in this image, and tap the water drain hole on the side for a grease fitting.

412 PAL Fusebox, cover off
anglodeutsch4
The center fuse bolts in to the sides of the holder, and I'm using it for the alternator. The remaining four are used for the fuel injection, A/C and Eberspaecher, starter solenoid/kickdown solenoid/reverse lamps, and main fusebox feed. The EFI feed is pulled since I'm still messing with the electrical system.

The OE strut cart and the KYB replacement have slightly different rod dimensions. The rod length from spring seat shoulder to top is about 1/2" longer on the KYB strut, and the thread length is about 0.1" longer on the KYB strut.
