Definitely an improvement over the stock 185/75 tires on 14" rims.

New Rhein wheels are on, wearing 215/75/15 rubber. 16" of ground clearance at the rear jack points. Reworked pace setter exhaust also installed, but in need of minor tail pipe tweaking.

All that glitters is NOT gold. this is the plate as it looked when removed. That sludge ain't a good sign. have i mentioned that this is a long-block that hasn't even been run yet?

Uh oh. This is the left head. Gex stamped "041" on a stock head that has certainly seen better days. looks like typical #3 valve suicide in the past, along with some welding. did i mention these were supposed to be "new" heads?

More case wearand a lot of permatex. this isn't looking good. Maybe the three GEX stamps on the top of the case should have told us something....

Never- run GEX 1835 longblock. after seeing the outside, we decided to tear it down and see the inside. note the buried case saver, and boring wear in the case, and the grey painted case and rods.
