fluxcap
Here is the beetle drum/adapter and wide 5 type 3
Comparison pics of thing, wide 5 type 3, and beetle 4 lug with wide 5 adapter rear drums. All drums were placed on identical spray paint can tops to mimic riding on the inner bearing, rather than just placing them on the ground.
The track of the Thing drum was between 10/16" and 11/16" wider than the type 3 drum.
The track of the Thing drum was 1/2" wider than the beetle drum/adapter.
The track of the beetle drum/adapter was just under 1/4" wider than the type 3 drum.

babystang caliper bracket (older style)
fluxcap
Babystang caliper bracket. This is the older style. Had to shave a small section so it would work with flipped spindles.

E-brake cable routing on 66 bus with straightaxle conversion
fluxcap
Super tight under the springplate, but it works great. 1966 bus with 68 straightaxle conversion using womack offset springplates. Took some trial and error cutting the spring on the e-brake cable to the right length and making my extender (out of copper pipe). But I finally got it dialed in. It's tight under the spring plate and pretty close to the tire, but there is a little room for play. Put about 1000 miles on it so far and it's working great.

front transmission mount issue
fluxcap
Hoping I had a poorly made transmission mount. Not sure where the top mount came from, but when I used it, the shift rod sat way to low where it exited the shift rod tube and I think it caused the shift rod to be misaligned with the hockey stick.
New wolfsburg west mount on the bottom. you can see from the red line, that the studs appear to be about 3mm higher on this one. About to install it and hope it fixes my sticky shifting.
