Stance of my 70 panel

I finally had some time to redo the rear of my bus. I originally only did one click and I had to do one more click. Looks good with no motor and tranny in it yet. Still have to c notch and get everything back in.

Trying to replace a cracked windshield
galencurrington
Part of my dads bucket list putting a new windshield in his 62 ghia. we cracked the first one trying to put the trim on and just drove it like that for a couple years. Putting the windshield in is no problem itís the c trip that is a pain on a ghia. I got one side on after a few hours. Iíll have to get the other side on next time I go home.

I've been through 3 contractors and none would show up so I decided to build it myself. 24x30 biggest I could go without more permits. Also true 10' walls to add a few more inches in height. 9x9 doors. 6 inch slab with extra rebar in places to have a lift if I want along with a 2' vaulted ceiling. Just me and a friend from work, my brother and the babysitter's hisband. I did hire a couple guys for the concrete. One thing that really helped air frame nailer.

Type 3 center pivot auto vs standard

You can surely tell the difference between a standard shift center pivot and an automatic center pivot with carbs. Very rare because all we got was fuel injected automatics. I'm going to put this on my wife's 69 automatic if the fi doesn't work out.

windshield in my 70 panel
galencurrington
So I got the windshield in yesterday. It was a pretty tight fit being an aftermarket windshield. I tried to put this in another bus a few years ago with German rubber and it wouldn't fit at all. And I can't be the only one that couldn't get it to fit so then I had the cheaper wcm rubber lying around and I used it and it fit. The windshield is a little bigger than a stock windshield when you put them on top of one another. The rubber was the difference if I had an original or an older windshield then I could have used the German rubber. I have heard of these issues in the past with different people. I really wanted to use the German rubber because it fits very well on the corners versus other rubbers because it has molded corners.

Early vs late bay spring plates
galencurrington
The best way to tell the difference is the later ones are an inch longer and if you don't have a ruler. The hole for the brake line in the late bay has a slotted hole and the early bays just have a hole.
