Alternator with 6 Volt Style Backing Plate
thefladge
I've seen several pictures on Instagram of Type 1 engines with alternators and 6 volt style backing plates. All of these cars are in Brazil.
Do they have alternators or backing plates that are unique to Brazilian made VWs?

I seem to have a pair of doors on my car that do not match. I'm guessing the driver's door is original and the passenger's door might be a replacement. I just recently noticed this difference after owning the car for 22 years.

Late model rear glass guides were used. They needed to be modified to work.
My plan was to have a spring loaded guide that would stay in contact with the edge of the glass at all times as it rolled up and down. After it was installed, the guide did not move smoothly, so it was bolted solid to a bracket I made.
