My bus in pieces at Transporterfest 2018
lastchancevw
I got everything roadworthy (except it really wasn't) to get to Transporterfest that year, but the brakes were not happy, and worst of all, when I had worked on taking off one of the rear drums, somehow the wheel puller didn't pull the drum off, instead it pushed the inner bearing apart before pulling the drum off. which meant that even if you put it all back together, for some reason tightening it up didn't pull the bearing back to where it was supposed to be.

So this car show i had it apart seeing if the tech help on hand might offer some solutions.

In the end, I just searched through some boxes, and found an entire spindle(?) stub axle thingamajig all together and I just replaced that whole piece as a unit.

I brought a folding bike with me in case for some reason, I broke down and had to get anywhere in a pinch..

Old Non scripted VW Box
16CVs
I have a Non scripted VW box with what looks like a wheel cylinder kit in it. The number on the box is 11 415 211. Usually it would have 3 3 numbers at the beginning.
I did a Google search and found nothing. Is this a real early part or am I missing something?
Any help appreciated.

15" VW stamped, Riveted, KPZ, Beetle wheel from July 54 Oval

15" VW stamped, Riveted, KPZ, Beetle wheel from July 54 Oval
54 Oval
I have a 1954 Oval that is a pretty rough project. I grabbed one of the wheels that came with it to see if it might be original. Did some scraping to see if I could find a date stamp, which was not totally successful, but I found a few stamps to help steer me to thinking it probably is an original wheel. Then I notice the rivets on the backside, that hold the rim to the hub. I've spent several hours on the site here searching for more and only found a tiny bit of information. I'm eager for any thoughts and your expertise.

Iíve looked at Bentley over and over, the fuse panels depicted arenít exact to my 86 Westy. Which is t the worst but the misplaced wires I have arenít labeled which makes my diagnosis worse. Hereís some shots of mine and the Bentley and any insight would help. Yes I searched here and read and read but canít prove confident on issue, this all stemmed from losing ground to radiator fan and being front blower motor was caput in front I went for the dreaded dash removalnreplace!!!

Replacing rear reflectors - 1968 Type 3 Fastback
oldskoolVWtech
After a search of this site and broader, I couldn't find any good pics of how to remove / replace the rear reflectors in a 68 Fastback. So I hope this helps someone. Simple job, but pics sometimes help.
