Recently picked up a Heilite the tent has mildew and it appears to have permeated the plywood with a smell too. Has anyone drilled out all the rivets and restoredo the plywood? If so, wondering what tips and tricks and gotchas I should watch for.

I'm considering picking one up to tow behind my 356 for camping at several road races I attend every year. Just in the research phase on how to attach the trailer to the bumper of the Porsche. Looking for a reasonable single wheel trailer with the double brackets for towing. It's lowered a couple inches, not slammed, but am looking to lower it some more with dropped spindles.

Anyone have any additional pictures on the tow balls/brackets?

This pic is from the classifieds. Hitch balls are 1 inch. May have to machine down a regular size hitch ball as I have never been able to find any that small for sale.
Single wheel trailers are the easiest to haul around town in my opinion.

We all know how space can be limited when camping so something likt this makes sense. If anyone is intrested in one contact Louie (samba name THE BOYZ VW KLUB) for price and details.

Does anybody know where to get a spare rim assy that will work for a Heilite single wheel trailer?

My buddy made a few. I need to ask him to make a few more. If he does I'll post up in here for you all that might need one.

If you are looking to pull a Heilite I would suggest to pull a dual wheel cause the single wheel trailer does put a lot of stress and strain on the tongue. That's a pic of my buddy ghia pulling a single wheel and after time it buckled his rear quarter.
