My single has the typical sagging doors due to cracking around the hinge
Has anyone ever made a reinforcement plate to weld in?
If are they being manufactured
Here's a quick prototype of what I have in mind

| I have had them sag a bit, and had them crack out around the rivits. I bend the door up manually by lifting, and then weld the hell out of the rivit area. The hinge is thick enough that you can really pour it in, and there is good access through the openings in the door. after that, I have never had a problem with them. The buses that I am fixing are generally not all that bad though. This is an area that I have had to fix on multiple buses. |
