Just curious how you have so much knowledge on the type 3 notch. Is there a site or a book that you know of that explains all this or have you just picked up the info over the years? I would love to know the datails of the notch that you know.

61-63 there was only 1 model, no N, no S. It had the appearnace of an N model, i.e. no chrome strips down the side, no front beak, bullet turn signals, painted rear reflector housings.
The interior was more like a later S model - full-length arm rests, clock, 2 sun visors, etc..
I own a 63 and I am finding it pretty difficult to find good information with specifics and pictures. I would like to know what mine looked like when it came from the factory in Germany. Would be nice to know where you got all you knowledge from.

Hi Nik,
You can email me directly and I will answer any questions you have.
Have you looked at the 1963 Type 3 brochures in the archives section?

(Click on 1963 under Type 3)
There is no Type 3 book that I know of that is in English. There is a great book in German which I don't own, mostly because I cannot read it. |

I can help with the translation, I speak German. Or if you want to translate short phrases, www.freetranslation.com works pretty well, although you kind of have to have a general knowledge of the subject material. |
