| Just got a phone call of a guy offering me a 1951 Bus. Since I am only into Split Bugs, I would appreciate if you could tell me what these busses are worth. Still havent seen it, but from what I heard its in need of a complete resto but its complete. What is such a thing worth? Any ideas? Thank you very much for your help! |

It all depends on the condition. If it's complete I would say at least $2000 US since that is probably the minimum "parts value".
I would get the VIN # first and make sure it's a '51.
If you want me to look over photos or provide a detailed breakdown since you are not a Bus person, feel free to email me at [email protected]
Contrary to most of the opinions on here, there are not people out trying to steal it from you, especially when you live outside the USA |

1951 is a VERY early bus.
Could be worth alot, again depending upon condition.
(Why don't I ever get a phone call like this?) |

| Still havent seen them, but the guy is now not really sure if he wants to sell it. He says he has a 52' ambulance too. Too much to believe maybe. If I get the chance to get some pics I will post them here. I hope this is all not fake. |

| That bus is in Argentina, I talk to the guy who sold it to the current owner, the buses down here in South America need a lot of work, they have been worked haaaaaaard, also remember the shipping costs((about $2,000) and customs brokering in the U.S. ($500.00), how much is a bus like this worth???it is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. |

Neither. For example, there is probably $2000 worth of parts on any complete Barndoor. Front end, rear end, brake parts, speedo, pedals, some body metal, ...
What was your actual question? |

| You're right Ev, just may take years to sell it all off as those are the same parts everybody has for sale! |
