Hi,
I have a early 71 westy camper with front hinged pop top.
My question is whether there is difference in the pop top canvas compared to the rear hinged pop top?
Anyone knows?

Yes, a late bay has a larger pop top which allows for a larger bed. I’m using the German canvas from Bus Depot, it is very nice and did not fight me when I installed it.
Heres a tip I got from another Samba member, use a pneumatic staple gun when you’re installing it. There are a lot of threads in this forum on the process. At $400+ for the canvas, you really don’t want to mess up the install. So read up on it and watch some videos on YouTube before you go at it.
I love that patina, that paint will clean up nicely! |
