I am going to get a new long body for my dune buggy and need to ship to Portland, OR. Im thinking it will be from CA.

One problem with my current body is that with Kadrons i cannot even use an air filet because the fiberglass back skin where tail lights insert are onle about 1 inch from the top/ side for the carb. The body is old and i dont want to spend the time to fix. I have saved up $1500 + ship for the new body.

I think CA will be the best place, due to shipping to OR. I want to make sure that my carb will fit with Kadron air cleaners. Looking for Manx style.

How is the best way to attach the hood, are there models that have a hood that opens like a car hood, instead of lifting it off?

I have my old body in primer black to sell for $450 if anyone is intrested.

Try Banditbuggy.com They are in SoCal (San Bernadino). In northern CA try Fibrejet in Roseville/Sacramento area.

Yes I bought a long body. If your putting it on a pan ask if it will fit,you may need to "tweek" it. Ask if it will come with spider cracks in the gel-coat,mine did. He was going to send me everthing I needed to repair the problem, but never did. LIKE YOU SHOULD HAVE TO REPAIR A NEW BODY!!!! Oh well, I paid cash and I'm 600 miles from SD., No leverage.
Nice people to give your money too though :?

Fiberjet only has one long body and it is pretty ugly, I emailed Bandit Buggy for more info.

Im still looking for more long body manufactures in CA or close to OR.

 Forget all the USA body's they are bad, poor fiberglass work and tin layers.fiberjet is the worst body you can buy

If you can get a bugway from Brazil, the best I have seen (I have 4 of them)

Manxter is too expensive for what it is, still have to bold the body to the chassis panels. The bugway has a complete fiberglass body and floor

If i get one from outside the us it will cost more to ship than i pay for the body. How would this make sence to buy? still looking for more manufactures of bodys in CA or near OR.

I will say this, even though I don't read Portuguese, that Bugway buggy is sharp looking. I sent them an email to see if they have anything in English, what the import and shipping costs would. will let you know what I hear. But have to agree that it will probably be way too expensive since they don't have any distributors here in the States. WIll probably make the Manxster look affordable :)

I too am looking for a long body. These seem to be the cheapest on the web so far:

Did you look at the pics of the yellow mid-travel buggy on their site? Maybe its just the photo angles, but the side pods don't seem to line up very well with the body. Might be a clue as to the quality, might not.

I see that now. I am wondering if it is part of the "futuristic" design or a flaw.
