I wanted to ask you guys/gals on your opinions about Airkewld. Good - Bad - right - or wrong, I want to know. Anything from the products to the customer service. The only way for me to be a better business is to listen to the VW community. Thanks

Pete bought some parts from me and paid right away and I had no problems with him. If he sells parts as good as he buys them I would have no problem dealing with him. Hopefully sometime in the furture I will place a order with him.

ill give you some feedback since ive seen the post for a couple days now. im not sure if im into bags on vws. you guys seem to be and thats cool. you sure seem to have grown relatively fast in ashort period of time....is business good? you seem to have a good marketing sense.
i do ,however despise spelling cool as kewl. my 2cents.
if your business grows and gets to be lucrative think about giving back to the vw community by manufacturing some needed restoration parts.

good luck. rob

Thanks Rob, Business is wonderful! 19 months into business and everything is climbing at a rate in which is awesome, seeing that I do everything here, no employees.

As far as the "kewl" thing, Volkswagen of america has trademarked "air cooled" so instead of messing with them, i spelled it different. Thanks for the Change$$.

I don't think making restoration parts are my thing. I like the hot rod stuff alot. I can't get excitied about making hinge pins or sunvisors. Air ride, Billet disc brakes, laying body is my thing. I appreciate the feed back.

Okay I purchased a set up for a friend from you at Bug In #32 and as far as your customer service goes you guy's were A-okay even in the 90 degreee heat. Very professional and to the point you are. I bought the set up for a friend and even though he hasn't installed it yet I am 100% sure he will be very happy with your product. Good luck in the businiess I'm sure you'll be in the game along long time. Your product speaks for itself but your appreciation for your customer's and top notch relations with them will take you much farther in the business. Good Luck !!!!

I met you guys at the Woodburn Oregon show...I was impressed with the goods you had on display as well as the professionalism and courtesy you showed all who stopped by your booth. There are others in the business who could take a lesson in congeniality from you guys, for sure!
good luck to ya.

I have not bought anything from you. I have corresponed via e-Mail and spoken to you over the phone, both of which were informative and professional exchanges. My buddy bought some stuff and it arrive quickly and it was just as described (actually better). I think you have a good things going and have some impressive innovation that the air cooled market has not scene in many years. Some vendors ads have not change in 15yrs and that make the scene feel stale. Thanks for spicing things up and don't be like 'the other guy'.

thanks guys for the confidence boosters, I am still a new business and i do care what everybody thinks or says. There are things that i could do to improve though as all growing companies have to go through but i do not want to grow into a big corporation and then decide not to give a crap, so i will keep the one man operation so that my customers can be one on one with me and only me. If you think there are further ways for my business to improve, please let me know! Thanks and take care!

My buddie bought a 911 shroud, Servise was exelent but the quality was a disapointment, it had 4 nice cracks ranging from 1 inch to almost 3, the fiberglass was very thin in some areas, and had 1 really nasty chip.

I think what buged him the most was the oil filler neck and having to cut a large hole in the shroud.

A phone call about it fixed the problum he sent another one out and sent a call tag for the cracked one

Yet the other one was not up too his standards,it was thin in alot of areas and also had 2 very small cracks. I do think he is anal about what he puts on his car and if it is not extreamly nice he will not use it, he returned the part and got his money back

I know u dont make the shrouds yourself, your supplier needs to take more care in his work thow

Ive seen your baged pans at shows, Wich i thought were Very nice and would highly consider one when i get that far with the bug i have now, im also fond of your fiberglass door panels and firewalls, and those duel carb return springs kick ass, u have alot of sweet items but every company has its areas for improvment

Considering your 19 months id say your doing a hell of a job. Keep it up

Thanks Joe, this is one reason i am not selling those kits anymore. (Shipping and the use of OEM Porsche Parts) Any and all companies who were making those shrouds were just hell to work with, so i rather bite the bullet and not produce them anymore. I am going to put that 911 kit in my car, I just like it too much. Thanks again!

Airkewld Wed Aug 31, 2005 12:17 pm
