Just a note to say a friend of ours has started a new world wide oval beetle registry of all the Oval beetles that are left in the world.

If anyone has an oval or knows someone with an oval beetle, and if they would like to have their car entered on the register use the email address below and submit your cars details:

*Chassis number (& Body number if an early one)
Engine number
*Is the vehicle? standard/export sedan/ sunroof LHD/RHD?

Are there any other special features/ accessories/ history with the car?
Colour? Anyinfo?

If you could send a picture he would be appreciative.

Didn't there used to be an oval registry already started? It seemed fairly comprehensive but then switched to a formula Vee site.

Dont know, I asked the guy who does the split one to start an oval one here on samba but it has not materialized.

Splits are one thing...Ovals...wow that would be a big job for a team of volunteers...let alone just one person.

My thought is for the owner to fill out an online form for submission then the list owner just needs to review and ok it for posting. Simiar to what is done at vintagebus.com
