hi-
I replaced clutch kit and gear shift bushing on my VW Fox GL about a year ago. My car has been working fine since then, however, one sunny sunday, I could not shift my gears, while driving, I could not even shift to neutral. I finally managed to shift to neutral when I hit the correct RPM.
So first thing I do is check the clutch cable, and it is fine.
So I get under the car and try and move the clutch lever attached to the transaxel/tranmission with my hand, and I could not move it without putting significant force, however, not enough to shift gears.
So at this point of time, I have no clue as to what is wrong with it. If someone could guide on this problem, it would be great. Since I use my car to get to work and there is no public transportation directly to work.
I have to change 3 bus to get to work and it takes me 3 hours (as compared to 20 minutes to work by car.) And it costs lot more to get to work.
PLEASE HELP!!! I don't money to get it looked by a mechanic.
