| Hi guys and gals, I normally post questions about my 85 Vanagon at the Vanagon forum, but since I am asking questions about a 87 Jetta I thought I would post here. I was wondering what a couple of these things could mean? One the car ran last fall, but has not run since then(only because it has been sitting), but my questions are these it will not go into reverse now(but did last fall) and the brakes really need to be pumped alot to get them to work again they worked last fall? What could these things mean and what should I check? Any ideas. |

| Check the linkage at the tranny for the reverse problem. Brakes you might have lost a line or seal. Park on a clean surface top of the fluid and pump the hell out of it and hold for a bit then look for a leak. Good luck |
